Principal's Welcome Message

  • Jefferson Elementary is a Pre K – 4th grade school with 580 students.  We are located at the north end of Cloverdale on a wonderful campus in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by grassy hills and forest. We offer a traditional educational program, an Accelerated English program for English Learners, and a STEAM enrichment program which includes Computers and technology, Engineering, Art, and Music.  We have four to five classrooms at each grade level.  

    Jefferson has a breakfast and lunch program available to all students.  Forms for those programs and others are available in the School Office.  We have a bus “hub” system available for transportation to and from school.  School Office hours are 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. daily.  Our daily school schedule is as follows:

    Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays

    Transitional Kindergarten:         8:10 – 12:35
    Kindergarten – Second Grade:  8:10 – 2:20
    Third and Fourth Grades:           8:10 – 3:00

    Wednesdays

    Transitional Kindergarten:            8:10 – 12:35
    K – Fourth Grades:                      8:10 – 1:05

    Minimum Days

    Transitional Kindergarten:   8:10 – 12:05
    K – Fourth Grades:             8:10 – 12:05

    Jefferson School welcomes and encourages parents and caretakers as partners in the education of all students.  We enjoy an active Parent Teacher Association who plan and support wonderful enrichment activities for our students.  We also enjoy the support of many local organizations and businesses who regularly assist our schools.

    Jefferson Elementary provides a challenging, student-centered curriculum that reflects the necessary elements of a Twenty-First Century education.   It is our goal to develop each child’s skills and talents in order to lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning.  We want all students to develop critical thinking skills, perseverance and to be able to express and communicate their ideas as young learners.
